Most of our customers prefer a keypad type system because it provides a significant amount of control from each room. In addition, the components can be hidden away in a closet or basement area. With a keypad, or multi-zone system, you can control a zone (a room or series of rooms) from an individual keypad located right in that room. The keypad allows you to turn the system on, choose a CD or FM station, change volume, etc. With this type of system you can easily have your favorite FM station quietly playing light jazz in your sunroom, while the kids play their favorite rock and roll CD in the rec room. You can even have a second CD playing your favorite summertime tunes as you grill burgers on an outside patio.


There are several types of keypad systems, each having their own benefits and appeal. Some provide basic control such as turning zones on or off, select sources, control basic source functions and change volume independently in each zone. Others have an LCD screen on the keypad that allows complete control of your components and can display a list of all the CDs in your player.
